Verizon iPhone 4 Tethering Reality Check-PC World

Much ADO was made over the hotspot feature of Verizon iPhone 4 version. However, some of which may be thought that the carrier was going to make it a standard feature can think again. A Verizon spokesman confirmed to Macworld that tethering would be an optional feature, quantified.

Verizon will charge an increase of $ 20 per month, which will give the user 2 GB of data to be used (use Add-in is charged at $ 20/1 GB). This will be a separate data plan and follows the price to tie on other smart phones on the network that have the capacity. While the charge may dampen enthusiasm, is a bit better than AT&T tethering offering, which costs even $ 20 a month, but takes your iPhone data plan. This means that you only have 2 GB for general use before you're socked with excess charges.

I wonder if AT&T will respond by modifying their plan to tie, but I am not going to hold my breath.
